JAMMU, Dec 27: Patwaris from Jammu Tehsil held protest dharna outside the office of Deputy Commissioner against the harassment being meted out to them.
All Patwaris and Girdawars of Jammu Tehsil assembled in the DC office complex here and raised slogans in support of their demand. They were opposing the attachment of Patwari Gole-I and alleged that some Patwaris and Girdawars were being put to harassment by Regional Director Survey and Land Record (Ex-officio Settlement Officer Jammu). They alleged that Director Survey was putting the Revenue officials to unnecessary harassment for the last several weeks on pretext of record and the routine work of their respective areas is also being affected. The two day protest proramme culminated here today.
