MENDHAR, July 15: Sub Divisional Magistrate, Mendhar Shafiq Ahmed has placed a Patwari under suspension for providing wrong information to him related to land status.
The information had to be submitted to the State High Court by the SDM in a case pertaining to proposed road link in the area. The SDM got some inputs about manipulation of land record by Patwari and providing wrong information just to give undue benefit to the two known families.
The SDM got the land status verified by a Naib Tehsildar and a Girdawar. They found that wrong information had been submitted to the Government by Patwari Rasool Hussain Shah posted in Galuta-Harni area. The SDM placed him under suspension. Further action was also recommended to the Deputy Commissioner against the said Revenue official.
