JAMMU, Jan 29: All Jammu and Kashmir Patwar Association led by its provincial president Mushtaq Ahmed Ganai met Divisional Commissioner Jammu and submitted memorandum of demands.
While speaking, Ganai said that the DPC of Patwaries as Girdawars was conducted on September 3, 2014 but till date no formal order has been issued.
He added that the newly created administrative units and field work is also badly suffering due to non availability of GQs, OQs, BCGs and Readers. He stated that the file of GQs for the placement of Naib Tehsildars is lying in the office of FCR for the last six months but no action has been initiated.
“230 posts are available in different newly created units, in spite of that these newly created units are working without proper staff”, he said, adding that the newly appointed Patwaries through BOPEE are working without salaries for the past 13 months, which is also a matter of concern and the matter was taken up with the Financial Commissioner Revenue by the State secretary of the association, but nothing has been done in this regard till date.
He added that the regular suspension of Patwaries and GQs without prior enquiries is a burning issue, as most of the cases reveal that the officials are suspended without any direction and fault and even after the completion of enquiry they are not reinstated for months together.
Ganai demanded DPC of Patwaries as Girdawars and placement of Girdawars as Naib Tehsildars, placement of GQs as Naib Tehsildars, release of salaries of newly appointed Patwaries and undue suspension of Patwaries and GQs.
He asked the Divisional Commissioner Jammu to redress the issues before January 31, otherwise the association will hold provincial level demonstrations at their respective district headquarters from February 2.
