RAMNAGAR, Aug 24: BJP spokesperson, Ranbir Singh Pathania underscored the need for motivating first time voters and facilitating them for their entry in voter list.
Addressing a meeting of party BLAs and booth presidents in Ramnagar Assembly segment Pathania exhorted upon the youth to get themselves enrolled.
He said that all those voters who have attained 18 yrs of age on October 1, 2023 should immediately get themselves enrolled with their concerned BLO or ERO or AEROs.
“The applications can be sent physically or can also be made online. The two proofs which are required include age proof and address proof,” the BJP leader maintained adding: “The law remains that a person can be enrolled at a place where he is ordinarily residing.” He called for positive cooperation from the election staff.
Pathania said that BLOs, Booth Presidents as well as BLAs of BJP shall ensure that they are able to conduct door-to-door survey of their respective areas.
He also called for meticulous cross checking of voter lists so that all discrepancies could be effectively cleared and an effective set-up, particularly post delimitation, could be put in place.
“Free and fair election is very bedrock of democracy and BJP is committed to it,” he continued.
