Pathania for professional management of Kailash Kund yatra

JAMMU, Sept 9: MLA Ramnagar Ranbir Singh Pathania said that historic Kailash Kund yatra needs better and professional management.
He was at the forefront who led contingent of more than 10,000 pilgrims from Dudu base camp to the Holy Kailash Kund.
Pathania expressed concern regarding death of one of pilgrims and injuries/troubles inflicted on others. He called for better infrastructural facilities of respective base camps at Seouj Dhar and Kailash Kund. He called for creation of tiled pathways from Dudu, Loudhra, Bhaderwah, Duggan towards Seouj Dhar so as to facilitate a viable walking track for pilgrims who visit the shrine every year. He also called for creation of waiting shed and night staying facilities at L/O Top and Seouj Dhar alongwith provision of toilets enroute as well as at the base camps.
MLA demanded that from next year registration of all the pilgrims will be done at respective base camps so that the administration can have a clear picture and better management of facilities for visiting pilgrims.
Pathania further called for a commission of an authority (Management Committee) with Deputy Commissioners of Udhampur, Doda, Kathua and all major provincial heads of various departments including  Directors of various departments such as RDD, health, tourism and Chief Engineers of various departments such as PHE (I&FC), EM&RE, PWD (R&B) and RTO Jammu and the respective Chairmen of various local management committees at Dudu, Duggan, Seyoj, Bhaderwah etc which should strive for creating better infrastructure facilities for pilgrims.
He also called for maintaining due care and cognizance of ecological and environmental hazards while undertaking developmental initiatives of the area.
The energy and enthusiasm of the devotees was really impressive while yatra concluded with dancing, rejoicing and feeling exhilarated on the chanting of slogans. He called for better coordination between tourism authorities and local administration at Bhaderwah and Patnitop and Director Tourism Jammu for making this yatra a grand success and making it most sought after tourist destination of the country.
