UDHAMPUR, Dec 1: R S Pathania, MLA Ramnagar chaired the Janta Darbar at Bharnara for redressal of problems being faced by the locals of the respective areas in which representatives of different departments, senior officers and district/block heads of Education Department, Rural Development, Power Development Department (PDD), Public Health Engineering (PHE), PMGSY, Social Welfare, ICDS, Health and other departments were also present.
He called for greater coordination between general public and officials of various departments for speedy development of the area and redressal of the public issues. Earlier, he listened problems of the people of the area and issued direction for on spot redressal of the problems projected by the people.
On the occasion, MLA Ramnagar directed the officials of various departments to put up notice boards displaying complete information about the name of work, scheme, source of funds, funds spent, and name of contractor with his contact number for the information of general masses. He also gave directions departments to display the name of Nodal Officer as well as Fund Officer at Panchayat and Village level so that public would be able contact them in emergency situations.
MLA Ramnagar also gave special direction to PDD to change the schedule of power cut from morning to afternoon hours as students were suffering due to power cut in morning hours especially 6 am to 7 am.
On the demand of people, Pathania called for setting up a Model Public Health Centre at Bharnara; and Model School at Majalta and Ramnagar.
