RAMNAGAR, July 21: MLA Ramnagar Ranbir Singh Pathania today called upon the Government for a uniform approach while creating educational infrastructure in urban as well as rural areas.
“Doling out equality amongst unequals is the worst violation of the cosmopolitan principal of equity, justice and fair play. Same is the case when we see the provision of educational facilities in rural as well as urban areas. Students living in the rural areas with lesser access to state-of-art infrastructure, smart techniques and exposure have to compete with urban, born and bred up students,” he said while addressing a gathering of Sarpanchs, Panches and other prominent persons from Tehsil Majalta during the occasion of organizing of smart classes and conduction of a science quiz at Dhema by Sri Bhupinder Singh Pathania Management Trust (SBSPMT).
Pertinent to mention here that an exquisite ‘Smart Teaching Module’ was thrown open for the secondary classes and later on dedicated to the students of the area by Kamlesh Pathania.
On the occasion, scholarships in the form of monthly financial aid were also distributed amongst the needy and deserving candidates. The people of the area were all-praise for the efforts and endeavours of the Trust whereby it distributes financial aids, free reading material and books to the needy, deserving students of the area.
Arjun Singh, Managing Trustee, and Rohit threw light on the activity calendar of the trust whereby it has done remarkable job while doing social activities in the area. The trust had earlier organized health camps at various far-flung habitations/reaches of Udhampur and now it is organizing smart classes with a view to achieving capacity building and better training/bracing up of secondary class students. The trust also indulges in training and practice of various competitions by organizing training/coaching programmes without charging any tuition fee from the candidates.
Prominent, who were present on the occasion, included Romesh Gupta, Hans Raj, Kuldeep Singh (Sarpanchs), Shiv Ram, Capt Gopal Singh, Shiv Darshan Singh, Sanjeev Singh, Sanjay Kumar, Kumar, Charan Dass, Capt Gopal Singh and Surinder Gupta.
