JAMMU, July 6: BJP spokesperson and former MLA Ramnagar, Ranbir Singh Pathania called upon the Lt Governor-led dispensation to reframe the policy related to regularization of Rehbar-e-Khel (ReK) whereby their regularization period is reduced and their honorarium is also enhanced.
Pathania pledged fullest support to genuine demands of ReK teachers while interacting with a delegation of All J&K ReK Teachers Forum. Taking up the cause of Rehbar-e-Khel’ teachers who have been canvassing for enhancement of their monthly honorarium and reduction of regularization period, Pathania said that ‘Equal pay for equal work’, ‘Time bound regularization’, ‘Proper conditions for working class’ are the universally accepted maxims recognized and reaffirmed by legislative enactments as well as various directives of Supreme Court of India.
It is in this same vein that we seek to put on the carpet the burning issue of these ReK teachers who are finding it difficult to make their both ends meet,” he asserted and said that with the reduction of sting and rigor of SRO-202, as well as making the domicile law more people-friendly, a ray of hope has been lit across the length and breadth of the UT.
Stating that a committee headed by Chief Secretary has been constituted under G O Number-294-JKGAD of 2020, Dated-27-02-2020 for considering these issues related to employees, Pathania hoped that the Committee shall be considering the case of ‘Rehbar-e-Khel’ teachers with a human eye and sympathetic feel.
