MAJALTA, Jan 1: Former MLA and spokesperson J&K BJP, R S Pathania has called for a decisive struggle against politics of caste, creed, money and muscle power.
While addressing party workers’ meet on the eve of New Year at Jansal, Majalta, attended by party cadres drawn from various far flung pockets of the area, he said that there are forces and multi millionaire caste warlords who have amassed huge ill-begotten wealth and try to divert and distract public opinion by using extra – legal and below hand means which tend to defeat the very essence of democracy. He called upon the party cadres to remain vigilant and educate people in this regard.
In an atmosphere charged with religious fervour, Pathania called upon party cadre to work for the welfare of humanity so that benefits of various public friendly schemes launched by Central Government can percolate up to the last man in the row. He urged the cadres for maintaining transparency, honesty and probity in public life.
Earlier in the day, Pathania along with companions paid obeisance at the famous Shri Narsingh Dev Temple at Jansal and prayed for the welfare of the country and peace in the State. Later a large bhandara was also organised where a number of devotees were served parsad.
Calling upon party workers to gear themselves for upcoming elections he asked them to work with zeal and ensure 24×7 participation to make further inroads in to every ward, Panchayat, booth and ensure victory of party in Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections.
Pathania also highlighted various achievements, which included setting up of Degree College at Majalta, road from Ramnagar-Chountra, Manwal-Pinger road and Ramnagar-Basantgarh road, Sanctioning 800 crores worth of road projects for entire constituency, 3 Girls hostels, Sports Stadium, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kendriya Vidyalya and ITI for which land identification process has been initiated.
Prominent among those, who accompanied Pathania, included Bishan Das, Gopal Singh, Shiv Ram, Kuldip Singh, Mohan Lal, Durga Das, Captain Gopal Singh, Ved Sharma, Kirpal Singh, Makhan Lal, B D Gupta, Mohd Din, Hans Raj and local leaders.
