JAMMU, June 7: The Government today ordered promotion of IPS officer Shakti Kumar Pathak as Incharge DIG with effect from June 4.
However, he will continue to head the Special Security Force (SSF) of Raj Bhawan as Director.
An order issued by the Home Department said the post of Director SSF has been temporarily upgraded and declared equivalent in rank and status to that of DIG.
The post of Director Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA) Udhampur has also been declared equivalent in the rank of status of Additional DGP till it is held by T Namgyal Kalon.
