JAMMU, Nov 20: Parveen Singh, Asst Professor and Head Department of Computer Sciences in Government SPMR College of Commerce, brought laurel to the country by attending 21- day United Nation 4th Workshop on “South Cooperation on Science and Technology to Address climate change”, held at Kunming, China.
Twenty three delegates from different part of the world were short listed to attend this premiere workshop which was sponsored by Department of International Cooperation Ministry of Science and Technology, People Republic of China.
Prof Parveen Singh represented India and presented detailed Country report in the two- day UN conference followed by 19 days workshop and presented paper on how latest technology can be used to mitigate problem arising due to climate change. Prof Parveen Singh’s paper titled “Climate Change: Indian perspective, Mitigation and adaption” was declared best paper among all the 23 papers presented by the delegates from different part of the world.
