SAMBA, Apr 8: Parkash Utsav of Saint Nabha Dass Ji was celebrated with religious fervor and gaiety here today.
On the occasion, Former Minister of Health and Medical Education DK Manyal was the chief guest, while Retd Capt Joginder Paul President of the Mahasha Sadhar Sabha was also present.
The function was held at Nabha Dass Ji Temple at Ward No 8 here, in which a large number of people from Samba and its adjoining areas parricipated and took blessing of Guru Nabha Dass. The temple was fully decorated with flowers and lights.
On the occasion, the speakers threw light on the life and teachings of Guru Ravi Dass Ji and said that people should follow the path shown by the great Guru.
While speaking, Manyal appealed to the people to be united and ensure quality of education to their children who are the future of the country. He also appealed them to eradicate various social evils like dowry system, alcoholism and drug abuse prevailing in the society.
The Management committee of the Nabha Dass Temple Samba also arranged the community fest for the people.
Among other present were Kali Dass, Romi Banotra, Shami, Sita Devi, Sanjay Kumar Rakesh Kumar, Shelly, Bodh Raj, Ramesh Kumar and Santosh Devi.
