JAMMU, Jan 31: The Lieutenant Governor-led administration today constituted different panels for implementation of the holistic Agriculture Development Plan in Jammu and Kashmir.
While a Central Apex Committee in this regard shall be headed by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha himself an Empowered Committee shall be headed by the Chief Secretary, a UT Level Executive Committee (ULEC) by the Administrative Secretary, Agriculture Production Department, and the District Level Committee(s) by District Magistrate(s) of the concerned districts.
As per an order, Chief Secretary, Administrative Secretaries of Finance, Agriculture Production, Industries and Commerce, Forest, Ecology and Environment, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Revenue, Cooperative, Planning, Development and Monitoring Departments, Vice-Chancellors of SKUAST, Jammu and Kashmir shall be the members of the Central Apex Committee while Mission Director Holistic Agriculture Development Plan shall be the Member Secretary.
As far as the Empowered Committee is concerned, the Administrative Secretaries of Finance, Agriculture Production, Industries and Commerce, Forest, Ecology and Environment, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Revenue, Cooperatives, Planning, Development and Monitoring Departments, Vice-Chancellors of SKUAST, Jammu and Kashmir shall be the members of the panel. Besides the Mission Director, Holistic Agriculture Development Plan being the Member Secretary of the committee, CGM, NABARD; MD, UTLBC, and progressive farmers of various districts nominated by the Administrative Secretary, APD, shall be the other members of the committee.
While Mission Director, Holistic Agriculture Development Plan shall be the convenor of the ULEC the Vice-Chancellors and the Directors of Line Departments shall be the other members of the committee.
Meanwhile, District Heads of various Line Departments, District Lead Bank Manager, District Manager, NABARD; GM, DIC; District Level representatives from Cooperative Department, Rural Development and Panchati Raj Department, Revenue Department, District Heads of KVKs along with the requisite staff, and 2-4 progressive farmers of the district to be nominated by the chairperson shall be the members of the District Level Committee(s).
