JAMMU, May 16: Shanker A Pande has assumed the charge of Chief General Manager (CGM) of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) J&K Regional office after transfer of Dr B G Mukhopadhyay to Mumbai.
Mr Pande was earlier Chief General Manager, Business Initiative Department in NABARD, Head Office Mumbai. He was the Business Head ( Africa Region) for NABCONS at Nairobi, Kenya from June 2009 to 2011 and also served in various capacities in NABARD at Utter Pradesh, Bihar and Maharashtra.
Mr Pande joined NABARD as direct Grade B officer in 1986 and has done his MSc from Indian Agriculture Research Institute, New Delhi. He has rich experience in Agriculture and Rural Banking, Credit Planning, Micro-finance strategy development, Banking regulation and Corporate Governance. He has represented NABARD in many national and international seminars and symposia.
