JAMMU, Aug 24: National Balmiki Sena today termed the elected Panches and Sarpanches of J&K as real heroes of the Union Territory, who brave gun and stand firm to save democracy.
National Chairman of Balmiki Sena, Raju Chandel told reporters here said Panchyat election in J&K is different from other elections in India.
He said, despite the threat of gun, Panches and Sarpanches hold the flag of democracy very high in Kashmir.
Chandel also said that terrorists and naxals keep threatening the elected members in J&K and other parts of the country from time to time and blood is being unnecessarily shed which is a matter of great concern
He informed that he wrote a letter to Union Home Minister, Amit Shah demanding proper security and accommodation to all patriots in Jammu and Kashmir including elected members.
