SRINAGAR, Dec 12: A Panchayat member today filed a complaint against 3 individuals which includes a policeman for asking her to abstain from voting in the on-going DDC elections in Baramulla district.
The woman who has been identified as Rehana Begum-Panch member from Block Hudipora-from Frasdab has complained before the Police Post in Delina in district Baramulla.
She, in her complaint, has stated that three persons, one of them brandishing a pistol, approached her and asked her to abstain from voting.
The trio, as per the woman, include Manzoor Ahmad Dar, a civilian, Iqbal Ahmad who is stated to be Government teacher and Irshad Ahmad Wani IRP personnel.
In this regard, the reports stated that the police have registered a case (FIR Number 214/2020 under sections 506, 354 B, 452 of IPC) and investigations have been taken up.
