Pakistani Military arrives in Saudi Arabia under strategic defense pact

RIYADH, April 11: A Pakistani military contingent has arrived at King Abdulaziz Air Base in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, the Saudi Defense Ministry announced Saturday.
The deployment, which includes Pakistan Air Force fighter and support aircraft, is part of a strategic joint defense agreement between the two countries, the ministry said in a post on the social media platform X.
According to the ministry, the Pakistani force aims to enhance joint military coordination and boost the operational readiness of both nations’ armed forces, contributing to regional and international security and stability.
Saudi Arabia and Pakistan signed the defense agreement in Riyadh last September. The pact is designed to strengthen bilateral defense cooperation and reinforce joint deterrence against potential aggression.
