Pakistan snubbed again

Mincing no words, EAM Jaishankar accused Pakistani Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari of being a “promoter, justifier, and spokesperson of a terror industry” during a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO). Jaishankar rightly responded to Bhutto Zardari’s statement on the weaponisation of terrorism, which unconsciously revealed a mindset. Heinsisted that the channel of finances for terrorist activities must be blocked without any distinction and that terrorism in all its forms, including cross-border terrorism, must be stopped. Bhutto referred to a “violation of international law” during his speech, which was seen as an indirect reference to Kashmir. Showing mirror to Pakistan, EAM stated that Pakistan’s credibility is depleting even faster than its forex reserves.
The terrorists carried out the BhattaDurrian terror attack on the same day that Billawal Bhutto’s visit to India was announced for his participation in the SCO meeting in Goa, and the recent Rajouri terror incident occurred while Bhutto was attending the SCO meeting. It is evident that the two terror attacks were not a coincidence, indicating that Pakistan continues to export terrorism to India without any hindrance, despite facing economic instability. Despite remaining on the grey list of FATF for years, Pakistan has learned no lessons. Instead of focusing on its own internal, never-ending woes, Pakistan, defying the norms of the SCO, raked up bilateral issues with India on the SCO forum.
Terrorism is a global threat that poses a serious challenge to the international community. The SCO member countries have experienced significant terrorism-related incidents, have a shared interest in working together to combat terrorism and extremism. India has been vocal about its concerns regarding cross-border terrorism and the support provided to terrorist groups by certain countries. India has repeatedly urged the international community to take strong action against such countries and hold them accountable for their actions. India’s efforts to raise awareness about terrorism and its impact on the region and the world are part of its commitment to promoting global peace and security.
