POONCH, May 17: Pakistani authorities today handed over an Indian at Chakkan- Da- Bagh LoC point, who was missing from a village in district Poonch since December 2018.
Official sources said that one Mohd Alyas Mir, son of Mir Hussain, a resident of Jhallas village near Poonch, had been missing since December 11, 2018. The family members and locals of the area believed that he might have crossed over to Pak occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

His family had reported the matter to Poonch police as well. They had also revealed that mental condition of Alyas was not stable for the last 5-6 years. The District Police took up the matter with the Deputy Commissioner and also with Army authorities at Poonch. They passed on message to their counter parts on that side of the LoC for retrieval of Alyas.
Today, after clearing all the formalities Alyas was handed over to the Indian authorities by Pak troops and police at Chakkan- Da- Bagh cross LoC point. He was sent for medical examination and clearing further legalities. He was then re-united with the family.
