Pak targets Indian posts in Jammu, Poonch

JAMMU :  In yet another ceasefire violations, Pakistan troops targeted forward Indian posts by firing small arms and automatics on the Line of Control in Poonch and International Border in Jammu.
A day after four people including two civilians and two BSF jawans got injured in cross border firing in Arnia Sector, Pakistani Rangers this afternoon again violated the truce in Ranbir Singh Pura Sector, some 30 km from here.    “Pakistani Rangers this afternoon at around 12 noon targeted Border Outpost Tent Post of 94 Battalion BSF,” official sources here said.
They said that own troops retaliated effectively while the exchange of fire lasted for 20 minutes.    “There is no damage to any property and no loss of life are reported so far in the firing,” he added.    Sources further said that two more live shells fired by Pakistan were recovered this morning from the fields close to the fence.
Four people got injured and a banquet hall and a house were partially damaged in the cross border firing yesterday in Arnia Sub-Sector.
However, Pakistan also violated the ceasefire by firing small arms and automatics on the Line of Control in Balakote Sector of Poonch district.
“The firing started this morning and lasted for few minutes,” sources said, adding that no injury or loss of life has been reported in the firing.
