Pak intruder held in Nowshera

JAMMU, May 2: Army last night arrested a Pakistani national on the Line of Control (LoC) at Kancha Post in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district and recovered Rs 30,000 worth duplicate currency, used for playing by the children, from his possession besides some other documents.
The Pakistani intruder has been identified as Aziz-ul-Rehman, 55, a resident of Kahuta, Pakistan.
Army handed over the Pakistani national to police today for questioning and ascertain his motive of infiltration.
SSP Rajouri Mubassir Latifi said the Pakistani national was wearing grey color salwaar kameez and sandal. He was carrying six duplicate notes each of 5000. The currency is used for playing by the children and carried words like Azadi Mubarak and Eid Mubarak.
The intruder was also in possession of visiting cards of some shopkeepers, written in Urdu and a letter head of Municipal Market Kahuta. A small quantity of `naswar’ and `suji’ was also recovered from him.
He was speaking in Pashtu and was not able to communicate with Army and police personnel.
Mr Latifi said police have registered a case against the Pakistani national at Nowshera police station for further investigations. He was likely to be sent to the Joint Interrogation Centre (JIC).
