Pak firing on LoC, IB

JAMMU, Sept 28: Pakistani troops today resorted to mortar shelling and small arms firing on forward posts and villages along the Line of Control (LoC) and International Border in Poonch and Kathua districts.
The unprovoked firing from across the border started in Shahpur and Kerni sectors along LoC in Poonch around 5.15 pm, prompting a strong retaliation from the Indian Army.
There was no report of any casualty on the Indian side in the latest ceasefire violation.
Late this evening, Pakistan Rangers also violated ceasefire in some areas of Hiranagar sector on the International Border in Kathua district by resorting in mortar shelling.
However, no loss was reported in the firing which created panic among the people living in forward areas.
