JAMMU, Oct 31: Firing by Pakistan Army on the Line of Control (LoC) at forward areas of Gigriyal and Hamirpur Kona in Khour area of Akhnoor tehsil continued till early hours of this morning.
Official sources said no casualties or damage was reported on the Indian side in the firing that started at 7.45 pm and ceased at 1.30 am.
Indian side replied the firing very effectively.
Pakistan Army had opened a new front in Khour area of Jourian sector by resorting to unprovoked firing last night after hostilities had de-escalated along LoC in Poonch and International Border in Jammu sector.
Pakistan Army had targeted forward Army posts in the firing. However, effective retaliation by the Indian troops had thwarted their designs.
