JAMMU: Two jawans were injured as Pakistani Army today fired unprovoked on the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Pakistani Army initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing of small arms, automatics and mortars from 0130 hours in Poonch sector along the Line of Control (LC), a defence spokesman here said.
He said that Indian Army retaliated strongly and effectively. “In the cross-firing, two soldiers sustained minor injuries and have been rushed to the Military Hospital,” he added.
Pakistan for the third consecutive day fired on the LoC and targetted forward posts and border villages in Poonch and Rajouri districts. (AGENCIES)
