Pak fires small arms on IB in Samba, no retaliation by BSF

JAMMU :  Pakistan today violated the truce by firing small arms on forward post along international border in Samba Sector of Jammu region.
BSF troops however, exercised restraint. “At around 0215 hrs, Pakistani Rangers fired four rounds of small arms and targeted the forward Regal Post of Samba Sector,” official sources here said.
BSF troops did not retaliate to the cross-border firing, the sources said, adding that, “No injury or damage has been reported due to rounds fired by the Pakistani Rangers.”
BSF and Pakistani Rangers last month had a flag meeting after a tunnel was found in R S Pura Sector. Both the forces held deliberations and assured each other to maintain calm and peace on the border. (AGENCIES)
