Painter murdered by colleague

JAMMU, Sept 27: A painter was murdered in Akhnoor town during the intervening night of September 26 and 27.
According to a police official, some painters were staying in a house belonging to an Advocate in Ward Number 12 for last few days on account of painting work there. He said around midnight of yesterday, two of them had a quarrel over some payment issue and in the fit of rage one of them hit the other several times in his head with an iron cutter, resulting into his on the spot death.
“The deceased was identified as Loha Singh (35) son of Janak Singh, resident of Gorakhpur, UP and presently he was living at Gangyal, Jammu,” the official said, adding the accused identified as Trilochan Singh alias Tillu (40) son of Satpal Singh, resident of Deep Nagar, Kunjwani (Jammu) was arrested.
He said a case under relevant sections was registered in this connection at police station Akhnoor and further investigation started while after getting conducted postmortem of the deceased at SDH Akhnoor, his body was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
