JAMMU, July 11: A painter allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence here today, police source said.
The deceased was identified as Babu Ram, son of Lojar Ram, a resident of Chankhri, Panchayat Queer, Tehsil Maira Mandrian, District Jammu.
After conducting post-mortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to family members for last rites.
Chowki Choura Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
