Sir,
The article “Pahalgam: A Muse” (April 27) beautifully captures the soul of a valley that has long inspired artists, poets, and dreamers.
Rachna Vinod’s evocative recollections bring alive the serene and vibrant Pahalgam that once was-a cradle of nature’s poetry and human joy. It is heartbreaking to contrast this with the present silence and scars the valley now bears.
Yet, through her words and memories, the spirit of Pahalgam endures, reminding us of the resilience that still exists amid sorrow. The enchanting descriptions of treks to Bisaran, Aru Valley, and Chandanbari rekindle hope that the valley’s beauty and spirit will once again triumph over fear. We must cherish, protect, and revive this muse of many hearts.
