The killing of two IRP Cops who were killed in a militant attack recently in Handwara underlines the fact that security situation has not improved too much as is claimed by some people. The killing of two constables on duty that too in broad day light should make the police resolve to fight militancy to finish.
Besides, it lends credence to the fact that there is no scope for repeal of AFSPA (Armed Forces Special Powers Act).
In addition to it, there is apprehension that security situation may worsen after America withdraws its forces from Afghanistan. Then it will provide an opportunity to Jihadi’s to divert their attention towards Kashmir.
The flow of tourists to the Valley last year indicated improved security situation. But the situation will look  normal only when every one can find peace of mind and feel safe.

BSP for OBCs
Sir,
This is in reference to item letter “OBC ignored.” DE  Feb 21, 2013. It requires to be clarified that BSP is the only party which have the agenda of OBCs since its inception.It may said here that K Mayawatti ji implemented 27 percent  reservation as recommended by Mandal Commission in 1995 in Uttar Pardesh.
Behanji came in power four times in UP and wrote several letters to the President of India, Prime  Minister, Home Minister the Governor of J&K and to the Chief Minister of J&K especially about the plight of OBC in J&K State. In previously, concluded session of Parliament Rajya Sabha BSP asked the Govt to bring in legislation in favour of OBCs on the pattern of SC, ST & BSP will support the same.
In Rajya Sabha, MP Narinder Kashyap forcefully pleaded for the implementation of Mandal Commission in the whole of country, particularly in J&K State. This fact can be downloaded from the internet. This can satisfy those who say that OBCs are being ignored by the BSP.
