3 BJP workers shot dead in J-K; Resistance Front claims responsibility

SRINAGAR: Three BJP workers were shot dead by militants in Kulgam district on Thursday, police said.

Fida Hussain, Umer Hajam and Umer Rashid Beigh were shot by militants in Y K  Pora area of Kulgam district late on Thursday evening, a police official said.

He said the trio was rushed to a local hospital at Qazigund where doctors declared them dead on arrival.

The Resistance Front (TRF), which is believed to be a shadow group of the Lashkar-e-Taiba, has claimed responsibility for the killings. (AGENCIES)

HMSI expands premium bike sales network to Mumbai, Bengaluru

MUMBAI: Two-wheeler maker Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India on Thursday expanded its premium bikes sales network BigWing to Mumbai and Bengaluru and also announced savings of up to Rs 43,000 on its recently launched mid-sized bike H’ness CB350 to attract festive season sales.
The Japanese automaker had set up its first BigWing exclusive outlet in Gururgram last year.
The marquee Honda BigWing Topline will house Honda’s complete premium motorcycles range starting from H’ness CB350, 2020 CBR1000RR-R Fireblade, 2020 CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP to adventure tourer 2020 Africa Twin Adventure Sports, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) said.
It also said that starting Thursday, HMSI along with its partner ICICI Bank has been offering nearly half of the prevailing interest rate at 5.6 per cent (starting rate) to H’ness CB350 customers, resulting in savings up to Rs 43,000 under a limited period scheme. Customers can alternatively also choose to go for the attractive and super affordable Rs 4,999 EMI option, it added.
“Today we are delighted to inaugurate our marquee BigWing Topline in Bangalore & Mumbai for Honda’s entire premium motorcycle range. Going ahead, our new BigWing for mid-size motorcycle up to 500cc and BigWing Topline for the entire premium motorcycle range will bring Honda’s fun motorcycles closer to customers,” said Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Director – Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India. Pak army violates ceasefire along LoC in Poonch district

JAMMU: The Pakistan army violated ceasefire on Thursday by resorting to heavy firing and shelling along the LoC in Poonch district, prompting Indian troops to retaliate befittingly, an official said.
At 1710 hours, the Pakistan army initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with small arms and shelling mortars along the LoC in Shahpur sector in Poonch district, a defence spokesman said.
He said the Indian Army retaliated befittingly. (AGENCIES)

Three workers of BJP including general secretary Yuva Morcha killed by militants in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

KULGAM: Three workers of BJP including general secretary Yuva Morcha killed by militants in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
BJP workers identified as Fida Hussain Yatoo, Umer Rashid Beigh and Umer Ramzan Hajam in YK Pora, Kulgam, today. They were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment where they were declared as brought dead.
Police have registered a case in this regard under relevant sections of law. An investigation is in progress. The area has been cordoned off and search in the area is going on.

BJP Leader Shot dead, another injured

KULGAM: Suspected militants fired upon two BJP workers in YK Pora village of Kulgam.
As per reports one BJP Leader identified as Fida Hussain Itoo succumbed to injuries while as Umar Hajam has received critical injuries in the attack.
