Package employees reiterate relocation demand

JAMMU, Sept 19: The agitating PM package employees working in Kashmir today reiterated their demand of relocation outside the Valley to put a full stop on minority Pandits genocide in Kashmir.
Talking to reporters here, today the representatives of All Migrant Employees Association Kashmir (AMEAK) said that they will not budge an inch from their stand on relocation.
“Either relocate us in Jammu or deploy /attach us in relief Commissioner’s Office Jammu/ Camp offices in order to put final stop on continual process of KP genocide in the Valley’’, they said.
They also demanded revocation of unconstitutional bond signed by employees under SRO 412 which is a sign of bonded labour. Besides, they demanded delinking of rehabilitation from PM package and declaring it as an economic package till all conditions of return and rehabilitation are met, ensuring the rules of transfers, promotions and other service related matter of PM package employees at par with general employees of UT.
They urged the Government that standing instructions be passed by the Administrative Department to all DDOs of Valley to release the salaries of all PM package and non package employees and not to force an employee to join duties in Valley, not to relieve these employees without their physical appearance, till dialogues between Government and employees reaches to a logical conclusion.
They demanded immediate settlement of their issue as education of children of PM/ non PM Package employees is being effected.
They said the protest erupted on May 12 this year in Kashmir valley after target killing of Rahul Bhat who was martyred at his working place at tehsil office, Chadoora Budgam, Kashmir. Suddenly target killings of religious minorities in Valley got intensified by Pakistan-sponsored terrorism /Jihad mindset resulting the more killings of employees including Rajni Bala and Vijay Kumar at their working place, followed by recent killing of Sunil Bhat on August 16 at his orchid in Valley.
They appealed to LG Government for revocation of oppressive orders issued by the Kashmir administration and forcing employees to join their duties back, while referring to the particular order issued by Sales Tax Department Kashmir, who has specially pin pointed PM package employees in the order.
They said salaries of employees have been stopped by their DDO’s of their own who are indirectly supporting the pen militancy against the KP employees and appealed the LG, Manoj Sinha to intervene into the matter.
