JAMMU, June 23: Prime Minister package employees posted in Kashmir Valley held a massive protest demonstration against the selective killing of Hindu employees in Valley at Relief Commissioner’s Office here, today.
The protest was attended by the employees belonging to various districts of Valley. The demonstrators said that with the selective killing of minority employees by militants in the Valley in their office premises there is a fear psychosis among all employees of getting killed anywhere. “We have received many threats in public as well on social platforms with a clear indication of either leaving the Valley or get killed and so there is sense of insecurity among all employees”.
The employees in one voice reiterated that it is not possible for them to live with their families in Valley and perform their duties till there is considerable improvement in security scenario. The employees appealed the L.G administration and Central Government for preserving their right to life and so consider their pleas.
The protestors demanded all Valley posted migrant employees be immediately shifted outside Kashmir Division to stop any further bloodshed of minority communities, the employees should be temporarily attached to Relief Organization Jammu for a certain period till there is considerable improvement in security scenario in Kashmir valley, benefits of SRO 43 be given to PM package employees at par with the State/UT Government employees and SO 194 be repealed in case of PM package recruits as the posts were advertised/sanctioned way before 01-06-2020.
They also demanded repealing of unconstitutional Agreement (Bond) signed between LG and the PM package employee and Central Government CSR be enacted upon.
The package employees are on protest in Jammu since June 16 while their counterparts are also holding continuous protests in the migrant colonies at Sheikhpora, Vessu, Baramulla and other places in kashmir since May 12 demanding their relocation outside the Valley.
