Package employees continue protest

JAMMU, Oct 4: The agitation of PM package employees for seeking their relocation outside Valley enters 144th day today as the protestors in large numbers have assembled at various Pandit colonies across the Kashmir valley and shouted slogans in support of their one point demand of relocation.
While holding National Flags in their hands, the protesting employees continued their protest against the indifferent attitude of the Central Government and raised their voice for the fulfillment of their only demand of deployment/attachment to Relief Commissioner Office Jammu. The protesting package employees have expressed their dismay over the lackadasical approach of the Central Government and LG administration towards the plight of the package employees. They further said that these employees cannot live and work in Kashmir as there is fear and feeling of insecurity among all the Kashmiri Pandit package employees due to recent selective and targeted killings of Hindu minorities and other non-locals.
The agitating package employees’ also stated that they have hopes from the strong, powerful and influential leadership of PM Narendra Modi and are expecting that a decision in their favour will come soon. Meanwhile, the leaders of the package employees have resolved and stated that their agitation will continue till their demand of shifting to safer places outside Kashmir.
