Sir,
I would like to appeal the present Govt to streamline and stop overcharging medical tests by the private clinics. The Govt must fix some parameters for the said charges in private hospitals, clinics and make it mandatory to showcase the charges notified by Govt for various clinical/diagnostic tests from time to time. The Govt machinery must check the practice of overcharging of the innocent and helpless people.
As the Govt is not in a position to accommodate the ever growing rush of patients in the Govt hospital, so it is necessary to check the overcharging/cheating in private market. Moreover, it is a constitutional responsibility of the Govt to provide the said services at reasonable rates both in Govt as well as in private hospitals. The rate lists for all the medical tests must be made available for the knowledge of the public to avoid cheating/overcharging in the private open market.
