JAMMU, May 19: A mega free medical camp was organized at the Bhau Biradiri Devstan in Khwara, Kaleeth.
The camp was held in memory of late Lt Col Rattan Singh, coinciding with the biannual congregation of the Bhau Biradiri, through the efforts of Narinder Singh Bhau, president, Sham Singh Bhau, chairman, and other members of the All India Bhau Rajput Sabha.
The humanitarian initiative witnessed an overwhelming response, with 588 patients from Kaleeth and adjoining areas receiving specialized medical consultations, diagnostic guidance, and free medicines.
Supported by Shubh Tilak Hospital, Akhnoor, the camp brought quality healthcare directly to the doorstep of the rural population through a multi-disciplinary team of senior consultants and doctors from various fields of medicine.
Patients were examined by specialists in Cardiology, Medicine, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, General Surgery and Surgical Oncology.
The panel of doctors included Dr Sudheer Dhar, Dr Balvinder Bhau, Dr Shaurya Pratap Singh Blouria, Dr Surbhi Kudyar, Dr Neeraj Gupta and Dr Prince Raina. They were assisted by Dr Akarsh, Dr Vireshwar, Dr Pooja, Dr Rishika, Dr Tamanna, Dr Aryan, Dr Aditya, Dr Malik and Ashish Soni.
The chief organizer of the camp was Dr Aneeta Singh, Professor and Head, Department of Pathology, ASCOMS, and daughter of late Lt Col Rattan Singh. Apart from free consultations, a pharmacy counter was set up at the venue for on-the-spot distribution of medicines prescribed by specialists. Free blood sugar and hemoglobin tests were also conducted.
In a gesture of spiritual blessings, the medical team was honoured by Acharya Mahamandleshwar Shri 1008 Akshara Nandji Maharaj of Dashnami Sampradaya.
