JAMMU, Aug 10: In a major boost to health care services in peripheral areas of Jammu district, Operation Theatre (OT) of Accidental Hospital Chowki Choura was made functional today.
According to an official spokesperson, to ensure that no patient is deprived of best healthcare services in his/her nearby health institution, the Operation Theatre was made functional under the guidance of Director Health Services Jammu Dr Salim ur Rehman and Chief Medical Officer Jammu Dr Harbaksh Singh with the support of Medical Superintendent Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar Dr Narinder Bhatial and Block Medical Officer Chowki Choura Dr Ritesh Khullar.
He said accordingly, two successful surgeries (one of ENT and other Orthopaedics) were also performed today in the OT of the hospital. The surgeries were performed by Consultant Anaesthetist Dr Sumaira Binti Bashir, Consultant ENT Dr Saima Tabassum and Consultant Orthopaedics Dr Ajay Pandita with the assistance of paramedical staff of the hospital.
