Orientation session on Labour laws held at Udhampur

UDHAMPUR 20: Assistant Labour Commissioner Udhampur conducted an interactive cum orientation session on Labour laws here with the aim to make hoteliers aware of their obligations and responsibilities towards workers.

Members of Hotel Bar & Association, Udhampur were present during the programme.

Apprising the participants of their roles and duties under Labour laws, the Assistant Labour Commissioner exhorted them to conduct their business affairs with the framework of the set laws.

Laying emphasis on the importance of maintenance of registers and records in respect of service conditions of workers, Assistant Labour Commissioner appealed them to do the same in accordance with the laws.   The members of the Association raised many queries on the subject matter of labour jurisdiction which were adequately addressed by the Assistant Labour Commissioner.

Assistant Controller Metrology, Udhampur and Assistant Director, Tourism, Batote also attended the session.

Appreciating the efforts of Assistant Labour Commissioner Udhampur for conducting such a programme for educating employers, the Association assured her of full cooperation in ensuring that labour laws get enforced in the field in their true essence.
