SRINAGAR, June 17: Opposition National Conference and Congress legislators today accused coalition Government ministers of impatience and staged a walkout from Legislative Council.
The walkout by four Opposition members came after Congress Lawmaker Ghulam Nabi Monga sought the clarification from Industries and Commerce Minister Chander Prakash Ganga over New Industrial Policy 2016. Though the Minister clarified but Monga was not satisfied and posed further questions.
However this time, instead of Ganga, Education Minister Naeem Akhtar got up from his bench and attempted to clarify the statement of Ganga with regard to the New Industrial Policy which the latter had made in Assembly couple of days ago. Akhtar said relevant sections of the Policy have been put on hold.
But what annoyed the Opposition was Akhtar’s jibe at Monga for cornering the Government over wide range of issues. “You always do commentary here,” Akhtar told Monga.
Infuriated at the comment, the Opposition lawmakers accused Ministers of impatience and four Legislators including Ghulam Nabi Monga, Ali Mohammad Dar, Qaiser Jamsheed Lone and Showkat Hussain Ganai staged walkout as a mark of protest against the Government.
