Operation to rescue drowned boy enters 3rd day

SRINAGAR, June 3: The rescue operation launched by the Army for a 7-year-old boy drowned in a Nallah in North Kashmir’s Sopore, entered 3rd day today.
The boy identified as Farhan Fayaz son of Fayaz Ahmad, was drowned in Nallah Pohru at Seeloo village in North Kashmir’s Sopore on June 1 while he was playing near the bank of the river.
22 Rashtriya Rifles under the aegis of Watlab Garrison along with MARCOS swung into action and initiated the mission to rescue the boy. For last 48 hours the efforts to retrieve the body of the young boy is in progress though no success has been achieved yet.
