PRAYAGRAJ: Congress general secretary (Uttar Pradesh east) Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Monday flayed the BJP Government at the Centre as well as the State over their failure to address the peoples’ problem and assured them that only her party can protect and fulfill their aspiration.
Addressing a chaupal, on the banks of the river Ganga at Dumdumaghat during her Ganga Yatra on Monday, Ms Vadra asked people assembled there in large number whether they have got jobs or the farmers got wages under MGNREGA.
“Doing politics for the people’s problem is a must which will be done by the Congress to ensure the peoples right. It is Congress which thinks about the people and hear their voices,” she said.
She said that farmers should get adequate price of their produce, security should be given to women and youths should get jobs. But the present Government was not interested on these issues and was trying to divert the agenda. “In Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, Congress Government gave farm loans just within 10 days after coming to power which shows the real care of the Congress for the people,” she said.
