DUDU-BASANTGARH, May 26: Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president, Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz (MP) has said that only Congress party can ensure balanced and equitable development in all the regions of the State.
Addressing public meetings at Ramnagar, Ritti and remote areas of Dudu and Basantgarh in district Udhampur today, the PCC chief said that Congress alone can strengthen the unity and integrity of the State and the nation, because of its secular principles and long history in the service of nation. He said the people of the State want to further strengthen Congress party as they have realized that only this party can ensure better and balanced development in all the three regions.
Prof Soz claimed that Congress does not indulge in emotional slogans based on region, religion, caste or language but believes in secular ideology and equitable development of all parts of State. He was referring to the under development and backwardness in the areas like Dudu-Basantgarh even after six decades of freedom and said that development of remote and backward areas is on priority agenda of the Congress Party and no stone would be left unturned in this regard.
While responding to the situation of earthquake damage in Dudu area, Prof Soz asked Minister incharge Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation to get the assessment done for providing financial support to the affected families in the area. He assured the public to take up their demand regarding Raja Ram Singh Stadium at Ramnagar and funds for electric sub-station and play ground at Dudu. He assured to provide funds for strengthening electric infrastructure in the area.
Minister incharge Housing and Horticulture Raman Bhalla, MoS Revenue & Relief (Ind charge) Aijaz Ahmed Khan also addressed the rallies. Among others who accompanied included Th Hari Singh, Bhupinder Singh Pathania, Vinod Khajuria, R S Pathania, Anil Pachiala, Ashok Bakshi, Dr Rashid Choudhary, Surinder Khajuria, Dr Jagdish Raj Prashar, Neeraj Gupta and Joginder Bangathia.
