JAMMU, Feb 22: A one-year-old female baby died mysteriously in Nagrota area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, a one-year-old female child namely Amrit, daughter of BK Chouhan, resident of Nagrota, died in mysterious circumstances at her aunt’s quarter in Nagrota Army area.
Quoting the aunt of the deceased child, the police official said the child felt breathlessness after which her aunt took her to MI Room, where the on duty doctor declared her as brought dead. He said body of the child was shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu.
“In this connection, inquest proceedings have been initiated at police station Nagrota, as strangulation marks were noticed on the neck of the deceased child,” the police official added.
