One Dead, Six Injured In Mortar Shell Blast In J&K’s Samba District

JAMMU, Mar 25: One person was killed and six others were left injured in a mortar shell blast that took place in a scrap factory on Saturday in the Bari Brahmana area of the Samba district in Jammu and Kashmir. Samba SSP Benam Tosh said the deceased has been identified as Mohan Lal from Rajouri region.
The police further said mortar shells are brought here after neutralising them. Tosh has denied any terror angle in the incident that took place inside the factory named Subash Chandra and Sons.
All six persons who sustained injuries have now been sent to Government Medical College (GMC) in the Jammu area, reported The Kashmir Walla.
Tosh said, “An FIR has been registered in the incident and action will be taken against those found guilty.”
The police have confirmed and identified the injured are from UP, Uttarakhand, Bishnag, Ramgarh, Ramnagar and Bari Brahmana.
