RAJOURI, Aug 25: The police arrested one person for his alleged involvement in several thefts in GMC Rajouri.
Official sources said that a number of thefts were reported in various wards of GMC Rajouri Hospital involving mobile phones, cash and other things for the past some time. On the complaints of victims, a special team was constituted by Rajouri Police under the supervision of SHO Rajouri Inspector Farid Choudhary.
It was reported that the thief usually comes to hospital during night times when most of attendants remain busy to look after their patients. Taking advantage of the situation, the thief usually enters the ward by covering his face to avoid coverage of CCTV camera and conducts thefts.
The police team after hectic efforts nabbed one Makhna, son of Ghami, resident of
Nagar, Rajouri. The help of CCTV footage was also taken. A case FIR No. 451/2022 U/S 379 RPC was registered in Police Station Rajouri against him. Several stolen mobile phones and some cash was recovered from him.
