JAMMU, Mar 14: A man was killed while two others including a police official were injured today in separate road mishaps in city and its outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, one Bunty Kumar (30) son of Krishan Chand, a resident of Bhattian Bhalwal in Udhampur district and Kewal Kumar (35) son of Krishan Gopal, a resident of Jagti (Nagrota), was on their way from Nagrota to Udhampur on their bike bearing registration number JK14B-0944, when it got slipped.
The mishap occurred this evening at about 6.30, as the bike was in high speed. In the mishap, Bunty was killed on the spot while Kewal received minor injuries. The dead body of the deceased was kept in mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for conducting post mortem tomorrow while the injured was being treated in the same hospital.
In Bakshi Nagar area, a motorcyclist identified as Constable Vikramjeet Singh (Belt No 1674/J) son of Kamal Singh, a resident of Reasi, presently posted at police post Sarwal, was injured when his bike bearing registration number JK20-5523, was hit by an unknown vehicle, this morning. The injured cop was shifted to GMCH for treatment.
In both cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance.
