One killed, three injured in road mishaps

JAMMU, Dec 28: A person was killed while three others were injured today in separate road mishaps in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a man identified as Ram Samajh (36) son of Bhandari, resident of Uttar Pradesh and at present residing in Talab Tillo area, received serious injuries when the bicycle on which he was travelling, was hit by a truck bearing registration number JK12A-3177 in Toph area.
He said that the injured man was immediately taken to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors. The concerned police had seized the truck while efforts were on to nab the accused driver.
A pedestrian identified as Shokat Ahmed (18) son of Abdul Khalid, resident of Srinagar, at present residing in Digiana area of Jammu, was hit and injured by a bike at Digiana. A youth identified as Deepak (23) son of Sarbjeet Singh, resident of Kotli (RS Pura) got injured when the bike he was riding, was hit by a bus at RS Pura.
At Gandhi Nagar, a youth namely Vijay Singh (27) son of Ravi Singh, resident of Nai Basti, was injured when the bike on which he was travelling, got slipped.
All the injured were shifted to GMCH Jammu for treatment and at the same time the concerned police had taken cognizance in all the cases.
