One killed, three injured in different accidents

SRINAGAR, Mar 23: One person died while as three others were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir valley.
Reports said that a Wagon-R bearing registration number JK05C/7648 hit a Maruti car bearing registration number JK05B/5418 and then rammed into the shop at Mirgund-Baramulla, resulting in injuries to three pedestrians namely Nighat Nazir, daughter of Nazir Ahmad Teli, resident of Bislipora, Mohammad Abdullah Mir, son of Ghulam Hassan and Nadeem Ali Malla, son of Ali Mohammad residents of Mirgund. The injured were shifted to JVC, Srinagar, where Nighat succumbed to her injuries. A case has been registered in this regard.
A motorcycle turned turtle near Srandoo-Kulgam, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist Bashir Ahmed Bhat, aged about 50 years, son of Ghulam Rasool resident of Srandoo. The injured was shifted to District Hospital, Kulgam for treatment, where from he was referred to SKIMS-Soura, for further treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
Meanwhile, one person was injured in a tyre burst at Qazigund. Police said that at about 9:40 AM tyre of a bus bearing registration number JK03/5503 burst and broke away at Levdoora-Driyan, Qazigund, resulting in injuries to one pedestrian namely Bilal Ahmad Shah, son of Noor-ud-Din, resident of Driyan-Qazigund. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital Qazigund for treatment, where from he was referred to Bone and Joints Hospital, Srinagar for further treatment.
