Srinagar, Feb 6: Police today said a person was killed while six others were injured in separate road accidents in South Kashmir.
A police spokesman said a Maruti car bearing registration number JK05B-4346 driven by Ajaz Ahmad Bhat collided with a motorcycle driven by Nisar Ahmad Mir at Rampora in Qaimoh area of Kulgam district, resulting in injuries to five persons.
“All the injured were shifted to District Hospital Anantnag for treatment where Nisar Ahmad Mir succumbed to his injuries. Two of the injured persons were shifted to SKIMS Soura in Srinagar for further treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The spokesman said an Alto car bearing registration number JK13B-8706 hit and injure a pedestrian Ghulam Nabi Bhat at Pulwama near Court Complex. “The injured was shifted to District Hospital Pulwama for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The spokesman said a motorcycle driven by Fayaz Ahmad Rather skidded off the road at Karikadal at Bijbehara area of Anantnag district, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist. “The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital Bijbehara for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
