JAMMU, Mar 15: A 60-year old man was killed tonight in a road accident in Sidhra area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, Roop Krishan (60) son of late Gopi Nath, a resident of Pahalgam, at present living in Jagti (Nagrota) received serious injuries when the scooty bearing registration number JK02AT-8693 on which he was travelling, rammed into a tractor trolley from behind when the tractor driver suddenly applied brakes before a curve at National Highway in Sidhra area.
The injured man was immediately rushed to Government Medical College ad Hospital, Jammu, where doctors declared him as brought dead. The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for conducting post mortem tomorrow.
A case in this connection was registered at concerned police station and further investigations were underway.
