KATHUA, Apr 22: A middle aged person was killed in a car accident at Billawar road. The deceased was identify as Krishan Chand, 51, son of Dhani Ram, resident of Noushera, Mahanpur.
The accident took place when the car driven by Krishan Chand bearing Registration No JK08J 0064 collided with hill on roadside after the driver was negotiating a sharp curve on Billawar road with the result the car was badly damaged and the driver received serious injuries. Later he succumbed to the injuries on way to hospital.
Billawar Police has registered a case in this connection under relevant sections of the law.
Meanwhile, Raj Bagh police has found a dead body of a male person on the National Highway at Hamirpur in its jurisdiction late last night. Police said that the person has been hit by an unknown vehicle during late last night which fled from the spot after accident. The Rajbagh police has registered a case under relevant sections of the law in this regard.
The dead body has been shifted to District Hospital (DH) Kathua for autopsy and identification.
